Bee My Valentine

 

 

 

 

This tutorial was written for those that have knowledge of PSP.

 

Tutorial written with PSP X2 but should work in any version of PSP

 

Supplies Needed:

PSP

Tube and close up of Choice

I used the artwork of Ismael Rac

You must purchase a license to use his work.

You can find him at: Artistic Minds Inc.

Tag Template #141 by: Toxic Desirez

Mask of choice

Plugins Used are optional:

Eyecandy 4000 Gradient Glow

 

Font of Choice

I used:

Ambiance BT

 

Lest Get Started:

 

Open the template

 

Shift+D to duplicate image

Close the original

 

Delete the copyright layer

 

Image>Canvas Size

With these settings:

 

 

Move the Bee Hive layer to the left of the tag

 

Also move the layer above the Frame 2 layer

 

Also move the Bee Br Kristin to the top left corner of the pink rectangle

 

Add the below drop shadow to both the bee and bee hive

 

 

Your template should look like this now:

 

Open the close up of your tube

 

Copy and paste as a new layer below the Frame 2 Layer

 

Position inside the frame where you would like your tube to show

 

Select the Frame 2 Layer

 

Take your magic wand too with these settings

 

 

Select inside the frame

 

Selections>Modify>Expand

With these settings

 

 

Click on your tube layer

 

Selections>Invert

And hit delete on your keyboard

Selections>Select None (CtrlD)

 

Your tag should look something like this

 

On your layer pallet

Change the close up tube layer to Luminance (L)

And the opacity to around 44

 

 

Your tag should look something like this now

Select the Pink Rectangle layer

Selections>Select All

Selections>Float

Selections>Defloat

Create a new Raster Layer

 

Select to color from your tube

Go to the gradient tab

And chose the foreground background gradient

 

 

With these settings:

 

 

Flood fill your new layer

Selections>Select None

Effects>Plugins>Eye Candy 4000

With these settings:

 

 

Close off the pink rectangle layer

                                Your tag should look something like this now

Select the Circle Layer

Effects>Texture Effects>Weave

Use the lighter of your two colors

With these settings

 

 

Select the Wordart layer

 

Effects>Plugins>Eye Candy 4000

With these settings:

 

 

Your tag should look something like this now

 

Select the Sm White Hearts layer

Selections>Select All

Selections>Float

Selections>Defloat

Create a new Raster Layer

Use the same color you used for the dots on the black background

Flood Fill layer

Selections>Select None

Close off the original Sm White Hearts layer

Select your new layer

Adjust>Add/Remove Noise>Add Noise

With these settings:

 

 

Open your tube

Copy and paste as a new layer above Brushes layer

 

Position like mine

Duplicate the layer close off the duplicate

 

Select the circle layer

Selections>Select All

Selections>Float
Selections>Defloat

 

Select your tube layer

selections>Invert

Hit the delete key on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

Open your duplicate tube layer

Take the selection tube

And down by the legs draw a rectangle big enough to cut off the extra

 outside of the circle (but don’t worry if you get what is in the circle too)

 

Hit delete on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

Merge the tube layers together

 

Duplicate your tube layer once more

 

Adjust>Blur>Gaussian Blur

With these settings

 

 

The change the top layer to soft light on the layer pallet

 

Add the below drop shadow to your bottom tube layer

 

 

 

If you need to move your wordart layer a little to left like I did do it now

 

Your tag should look like this now

 

 

Select the background layer

New raster layer

Chose the color that’s in the top left corner of the bottom rectangle

Flood fill

Add your mask of choice

Right click on the layer in the layer pallet

Merge>merge Group

Image>Mirror

Position how you would like it

 

Adjust>Add/Remove Noise>Add Noise

With these settings:

 

 

 

New raster layer

Chose the other color you used in your rectangle

Flood fill

Add your mask of choice

Right click on the layer in the layer pallet

Merge>merge Group

Position how you would like

 

Adjust>Add/Remove Noise>Add Noise

With these settings:

 

 

Add your copyright

 

Add your name

Effects>Plugins>Eye Candy 4000

With these settings:

 

 

Close off the bottom white background layer

 

Save as a .png
