Crime Scene

 

 

 

 

This tutorial was written for those that have knowledge of PSP.

 

Tutorial written with PSP X2 but should work in any version of PSP

 

Supplies Needed:

PSP

Tube and close up of Choice

I used the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis

You must purchase a license to use his work.

Pay to use Scrap Kit: CSI New Case

Scrap kit by: Diane @ Candys Treats

 

Plugins Use:

Xenofex 2: Radiance

 

Font of Choice

I used:

Staubiges Vergnügen

Its free to use you can find it at:

www.dafont.com

 

Lest Get Started:

 

Open a new canvas

With these settings

 

 

Flood Fill with white

 

Open ct-csrimescene-wordcircle2 from the kit

Copy and paste as a new layer

 

Position in the center of your canvas

 

Open ct-CSI-motorwayFrame from the kit

Copy and paste as a new layer

 

Position to the bottom of the wordcircle

 

Open ct-CSI-frames2 from the kit

Copy and paste as a new layer

Image>Mirror

Image>Resize

With these settings

 

Image>Free Rotate

With these settings

 

 

Your Tag should look something like this

 

 

That is our template

 

Close of the two frame layers

Leaving only the wordcircle

 

Open Candys-CSI-mess

Copy and paste as a new layer below the wordcircle

Position so it looks like this

Draw out a circle with your vector tool

Make it the size of the inside of your circle

Like below

 

It doesn’t have to be perfect but as close as possible

Move this layer below your wordcircle

 

Open ct-CSI-paper3

Copy and paste as a new layer

between the wordcircle and the circle you drew

 

Image>Resize

With these settings

 

 

Position where you would like it under the wordcircle

 

Select the circle you made

Selections>Select All

Selections>Float

Selections>Defloat

Select the ct-CSI-paper3 layer

Selections>Invert

Hit the delete key on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

Delete the circle layer you made

 

It should look something like this

 

 

Open your close up tube

Copy and paste as a new layer under the wordcircle

Image>Mirror

Position to the left of the frame

 

Select the Paper layer

Select the circle you made

Selections>Select All

Selections>Float

Selections>Defloat

Select the tube  layer

Selections>Invert

Hit the delete key on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

Effects>Plugins>Xero>Radiance

Default Settings

 

Set the opacity of your tube layer to around 84%

 

 

 

It should look something like this

 

 

Open the 3 Square frame

Open your tube of choice

Copy and paste as a new layer below the 3 square frame

Duplicate your tube so you have 3 total

Close of all but one

 

Position this tube so that it fits in the left most frame

The way you want it to

Select the frame layer

Take your magic wand with these settings

 

 

Select inside the frame

Selections>Modify>Expand

With these settings

 

 

Select your tube layer

Selections>Invert

Hit the delete key on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

On the layer pallet change the layer to

Luminance (L)

 

Repeat these steps with the other 2 tubes

 

Select the frame layer

Effects>3d Effects>Drop Shadow

With these settings

 

It should look something like this

 

Open the circle frame layer

 

Open Candys-Fingerprint card from the kit

Copy and paste as a new layer

Image>Resize

With these settings

 

Image>Free Rotate

With these settings

 

Position under the right circle

Select the circle frame layer

Take your magic wand with these settings

 

 

Select inside the frame

Selections>Modify>Expand

With these settings

 

 

Select the fingerprint card

Selections>Invert

Hit the delete key on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

On the layer pallet change the opacity to around 82

 

 

It should look something like this

 

 

Open your tube again

Copy paste as a new layer above everything else

Duplicate your tube

On the top tube layer

Adjust>Blur>Gaussian Blur

With these settings

 

On the layer pallet change the layer to

Soft Light

 

Should look something like this

 

 

Now for a few elements

 

Open CandysTreats-fingerprints from the kit

Copy  and paste as a new layer under the circle frame

 

Position one under the left circle frame

 

Select the circle frame layer

Take your magic wand with these settings

 

 

Select inside the frame

Selections>Modify>Expand

With these settings

 

 

Select the CandysTreats-fingerprints layer

Selections>Invert

Hit the delete key on your keyboard

Selections>None

 

Open CandysTreats-palmprint from the kit

Copy and paste as a new layer

Image>Resize

With these settings

 

 

Position on the right side of your tag

Duplicate

Image>Mirror

 

Open ct-bow-CSI

Copy and paste as a new layer

Image>Resize

With these settings

 

Position in between the square frames

 

Effects>3d Effects>Drop Shadow

With these settings

 

It should look something like this now

 

 

Add your copyright and text!

For my name I used Staubiges Vergnügen

 

For copyright I use Pixelette

 

Close off the bottom white background layer

 

Save as a .png
